HOME LEAGUE
These ‘doyennes’ of the Corps, meet every Monday between 2:15 & 3:15pm for:
‘Worship - Education - Fellowship & Service’
They welcome ladies of any age and any religion. The meetings include activities such as singing, prayer, bible reading and of course tea & biscuits!
They have visiting speakers who present talks on many subjects and twice a year they hold joint meetings with groups from other churches. These are held at the corps or other buildings in the area.
Each year they raise funds for The Medical Missionary teams and in the past have knitted babies clothes, vests and blankets to send to third world countries.
By saving loose change, this year the ladies and friends of The Home League have raised £1164 for the Helping Hands Fund - ‘A Cry In The Darkness’. This helps needy children in foreign countries. Well done!
Anyone is welcome to come along for the fellowship.
